BIRCH YELLOW

Botanical name: Betula alleghaniensis. Cream to light brown tinged with red, with thin nearly white sapwood. Yellow birch is a close-grained wood with a distinct, but not prominent pattern. It is extremely versatile and takes paint and varnished well.
